Has The Pedestal Been Set Too High?

Although i am a fan of both Hov' and Ye, i was somewhat disappointed with this project. Maybe my expectations were too high. I felt as if i were listening to a "Twisted Fantasy" remix album, and don't get me wrong i loved Twisted Fantasy but, when you have two of the dopest artist in the game to collaborate you have high expectations and are going to be a tough critic. I was hoping for great soulful College dropout samples from Ye and Blueprint  verses from Hov. As many know i am a hip hop artist and never try to come across with the biased opinion in the room, but i honestly felt that this album may have been rushed, or had too much anticipation so Kanye and Jay felt they could do whatever to please the fans regardless. Then again this was an experimental album and i was not 100 percent disappointed i just wanted more than what i got. The features were great but half of the battle was lost because of the beats selected and used. Flows and verses were acceptable but a great beat calls for an extraordinary verse from these two and the delivery was the same as Blake Griffen when he jumped over the car, very creative and dope but not worth all the hype.

The Minstrel Show

"The Minstrel Show is the second studio album by hip hop trio, Little Brother. Released on September 13, 2005. It followed the critical success of their 2003 debut, The Listening. The album was highly anticipated and touted as a probable breakthrough for the group, even before its release. The album consists of 9th Wonder and other producers, but Mostly 9th Wonder. This is Classic" I personally love this album, probably one of my favorites of 05 i thought about it today and decided to bring back some memories

Sip MusiQality Spitta

I met this brother my freshman year in high school and we clicked as soon as we said what up to each other. we both loved music and he took me in as a "little sibling" for a program he was involved in. He also plays for the band in college as well as writes and records hip hop records check out a brief bio and his music.

"Born and raised in richmond, va sip spitta (Isaac Thompson) began rapping later than most of his time, starting at the age of 17. Always having an interest in poetry, and also being a part of his high school drumline, music was his calling. Having an old school based hip-hop feel with a new school swag, he is more than ready to be a front runner in the game. He is also good friends with Henry McCoy."

Artist Skyblew: "Clouds Are My Everlasting Memories"

I met this guy through a friend that posted music as well as mine. The first track i heard was "Blizzard In NC" a great track sampled from the same sample as Mos Def's "The Panties" which i love. Ever since then we've kept in touch and Skyblew and have music coming soon! Be on the look out

Bio:Mario Farrow grew up in Auburn, Alabama; a city polluted with drugs, gangs and violence. Surrounded by negativity and transitioning into various foster homes, it would have been easy for him to choose the wrong path. But rather than succumbing to his environment and dire circumstances, Mario instead chose to use music to soothe his soul and provide an escape. He would freestyle and rhyme to himself, eventually starting to pen his lyrics in 2004 under the name "Young Millionaire."
In 2008, Mario was reunited with his father and relocated to Carrboro, North Carolina. It is during this transitional period that he really delved into his craft, linking up with other local emcees and producers such as ACee, Shoton and KdotMills to take his lyricism to the next level. Deciding that the name "Young Millionaire" was too cliche and ordinary for an emcee with his aspirations, Mario opted to change his moniker to something more fitting to his style. Thus, the adaption of the name "SkyBlew." SkyBlew's music is not only unique, it is uplifting; with a positive message.
SkyBlew's unique sound can be attributed to the diversity of his idols. His musical influences include: Blu, Jay-Z, Charles Hamilton, Lupe Fiasco, Nappy Roots, Blue Scholars, Wiz Khalifa, Amy Winehouse, Little Brother, KiD CuDi, Common, Eminem, Kanye West, Wale, Buckshot, Nas & a host of other artists.

Where Are You Jay Electronica?

I find it sad to have an artist you appreciate a lot but he or she has not come out with an album. Jay Electronica set the summer off correctly with his song "Exhibit C", the third song from the "Exhibit" series, and has released a project (mixtape) or 2 prior to that track. However, it seems that the lyrical Magnolia Project emcee has sort of disappeared once he signed with Jay-Z's roc nation label. At least J.Cole is dropping single tracks and staying consistent but Jay Elec comes out every few months or so. Maybe its something behind the curtains that is forbidding him to release an album the world may never know.

Lil B's "Im Gay" album

First off, cmon son. I usually don't care much for a rapper whom has music i cant enjoy, but this has been over due. I can't even laugh or find this entertaining because i am an emcee and i feel that somethings artist do for attention are totally unnecessary. Number one homosexuals already have a hard enough time with sexual discrimination, although i do not care much for homosexuals either but i have enough tolerance to realize when something is kind of o.d. My question still remains about him doing this for attention, to be funny, or is he seriously gay? Through it all my dude is also not a hip hop artist to me he is just a rapper, just saying.
